On September 25, 2025, the management team of the United Nations Information Centre for Nigeria, led by its Director, Dr Ronald Kayanja, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretariat of the African Green Economy and Sustainability Institute (AGESI) in Abuja.

The meeting served as a platform for dialogue on shared areas of interest and potential collaboration between the two institutions. 

During the engagement, both parties explored opportunities to strengthen partnerships in areas such as sustainable development, climate resilience, and biodiversity conservation.

The discussions underlined the importance of aligning national and international efforts to accelerate green growth and environmental stewardship in Nigeria. 

Dr Eugene Itua, Executive Director of AGESI, welcomed the delegation and highlighted AGESI’s commitment to advancing inclusive green economy strategies through research, advocacy, and private sector engagement.

Kayanja commended AGESI’s work and expressed interest in deepening collaboration to amplify impact across key thematic areas. 

The visit marked a significant step toward fostering institutional synergy and building momentum for joint initiatives that support Nigeria’s sustainability agenda.
