The Africa Green Economy and Sustainability Institute has congratulated Dr Ebere Udeh, a board member and secretary of AGESI, on her investiture as a professional fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Society.
The recognition was conferred on Friday during the NES @40 and 34th National Conference & Annual General Meeting held at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The fellowship was formally conferred by Dr Efegbidiki Okobia, NES president, in recognition of Udeh’s outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship, sustainability leadership, and policy advocacy in Nigeria and across Africa.
“We are deeply honoured to celebrate Dr Ebere Udeh’s investiture as a Professional Fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Society. Her visionary leadership, intellectual rigour, and unwavering commitment to a sustainable Africa have been a driving force behind AGESI’s mission,” said Dr Eugene Itua, Executive Director of AGESI.
Itua added, “As a long-standing Fellow of NES myself, I recognise the significance of this distinction and applaud Dr Udeh for her exemplary contributions to environmental advancement.”
Udeh’s investiture as a Professional Fellow not only reflects her personal excellence but also the growing impact of AGESI’s work in shaping Africa’s environmental and sustainability landscape. Her voice and vision, instrumental in steering AGESI’s strategic direction, are a source of inspiration and hope for a greener future.
Her efforts in fostering partnerships that promote climate resilience, circular economy, and inclusive green growth are a testament to the positive change that can be achieved.
“AGESI joins the wider environmental community in celebrating this momentous achievement and eagerly anticipates even greater contributions from Dr Udeh in her new capacity,” a statement by the institute on Monday said.
It added, “Her continued leadership and passion for a greener future will undoubtedly inspire our mission at AGESI and the wider environmental community.”
