NTT DATA, a prominent global IT services and consulting firm, has once again secured national accolades as one of the Best Places to Work in the United States, along with recognition as a Best Place to Work for Women in 2025.

This marks the second consecutive year NTT DATA has earned both distinctions, reinforcing its enduring commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and growth-focused workplace environment.

These honours differ from conventional business awards, which typically focus on financial metrics or market performance. Instead, they are awarded based on extensive employee feedback and independent assessments of workplace culture.

Best Places manages the certification to Work, a reputable research and certification organisation, which conducts anonymous employee surveys to evaluate satisfaction levels, leadership effectiveness, and adherence to organisational values.

To qualify, companies must surpass stringent criteria in employee engagement, trust, and fairness, ensuring the recognition reflects genuine workplace excellence.

Joseph Gregory, Head of People for NTT DATA USA, highlighted the centrality of the company’s workforce in achieving this recognition. Following the announcement, Gregory stated that the certifications exemplify an organisational culture where inclusion is deeply ingrained in everyday operations, rather than being a mere objective.

He praised employees for their instrumental role in delivering exceptional client service, fostering collaboration within the company, and contributing actively to community causes. Gregory also reiterated that the awards validate the company’s ongoing efforts to create an environment that fosters the success and well-being of all employees.

The designation as a Best Place to Work for Women holds particular relevance in the technology sector, where gender disparities persist as a significant obstacle.

According to the National Centre for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), women accounted for only about 26 per cent of the U.S. computing workforce as of recent statistics, illustrating the enduring challenge of gender underrepresentation.

NTT DATA’s recognition thus signals measurable progress in addressing this imbalance through the promotion of gender equity initiatives, mentorship programs, and equal leadership opportunities within the company.

The company’s commitment to a people-first approach is demonstrated through substantial investments in career development, flexible working arrangements, and employee resource groups that advocate for diversity and inclusion.

In recent years, NTT DATA has also expanded leadership training and introduced programs focused on mental health, work-life balance, and community engagement.

These initiatives align with broader workplace trends that link employee well-being and purposeful corporate culture with enhanced innovation and sustained business success.

NTT DATA intends to maintain its focus on inclusive growth by empowering its diverse global workforce to lead in the face of the swift transformations shaping the digital economy, according to a recent statement.

The company’s strategic emphasis on talent development and cultural inclusivity positions it not only as a leading employer but also as a model for sustainable and responsible leadership in the technology industry.
