National Council on Climate Change director-general Tenioye Majekodunmi’s mother has died.

The deceased, Olusola Odujinrin, will be buried on Tuesday at the Fleet Hall, Admiralty Event Centre, Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, Lagos.

A terse notice of the funeral arrangement called for “prayers as we join the DG and her family in celebrating a distinguished life of purpose, service, and impact”.

Odujinrin, according to the notice, will be remembered as a woman of distinction whose life embodied purpose, service, and impact.

Her contributions to community development, faith, and family values earned her respect across generations, the notice said.

Meanwhile, the Africa Green Economy and Sustainability Institute has commiserated with the NCCC boss.

“On behalf of AGESI, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. (Mrs.) Olusola Mary Tinuola Odujinrin, JP, ETS (née Osho). We share in the grief of the Director General, Barr. Mrs Tenioye Majekodunmi and her family during this time of loss.

“We honour the remarkable life of service and impact that she lived, and we pray for strength and comfort for the family,” said AGESI’s executive director, Eugene Itua.
