The Africa Green Economy & Sustainability Institute (AGESI) is delighted to announce its role as a strategic collaborator in the landmark Nigeria Climate Investment Summit (NCIS), scheduled for June 23, 2026, in London.

This partnership—anchored by SOStainability, GLOBE Legislators—marks a historic step forward for Nigeria’s climate leadership and Africa’s green economic transformation.

Reflecting on the significance of this collaboration, Dr Eugene Itua, Executive Director, AGESI, stated, “This moment represents a profound turning point for Nigeria and for Africa’s sustainable development journey. The Nigeria Climate Investment Summit is more than a convening—it is a bold platform for reimagining our future. It signals that Africa is ready to lead with purpose, ready to innovate with courage, and ready to shape the global green economy with integrity and ambition.”

He added, “At AGESI, we are committed to advancing Africa’s transition to a climate-resilient, inclusive, and prosperous green economy. Our collaboration on NCIS London reflects our belief that when policy, investment, and community resilience align, transformative change becomes inevitable.”

The NCIS London will convene senior Nigerian leaders, global investors, development finance institutions, climate innovators, and diaspora capital networks at London Climate Action Week (LCAW)—the world’s most influential climate finance gathering.

The summit will showcase Nigeria’s climate policy progress and investment-ready opportunities, strengthen partnerships for renewable energy, carbon markets, and transition finance and highlight subnational leadership.

AGESI recognises this as a catalytic opportunity to reposition Nigeria as a continental leader in climate-smart development and sustainable finance.

AGESI’s Commitment to a Sustainable African Future

As a strategic collaborator, AGESI will contribute its expertise in green economy systems and policy innovation, climate finance and investment readiness, sustainability research and capacity development and community resilience and just transition frameworks

Itua reaffirmed AGESI’s dedication.

“Our mission is clear—to ensure that Africa’s climate transition is just, inclusive, and globally competitive,” he said. “NCIS London is a powerful vehicle for achieving this vision, and AGESI is proud to help drive this transformative agenda.”

The Africa Green Economy & Sustainability Institute (AGESI) is a continental knowledge, innovation, and policy institution dedicated to accelerating Africa’s transition to a green, inclusive, and climate-resilient economy.
