PRESS CONFERENCE & STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT WITH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY COMMITTEES ON WORKS AND HON. MINISTER OF WORKS

The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Works and the National Assembly Committees on Works, will undertake a total evaluation of all challenges of flooding within the vicinity of the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway as scheduled below:

Date- Monday 6th July 2026

In addition, there shall be a Press Conference & Stakeholders Engagement on this matter as scheduled below:

Date- Tuesday 7th July 2026

Time- 1:00 p.m. prompt

Venue- Zinia Hall, Eko Hotel

This serves to invite Lagos State Government Officials, the Federal Ministry of the Environment and representatives of concerned landlords along the Coastal road to this meeting.

It should be noted that the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway has not contributed to the flooding issue in Lagos State.

However, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, has directed that this meeting take place to find a lasting solution to the flooding issue in the Lagos Coastal corridor
